Goings on

I've been working on some exciting projects that will be forthcoming in the next few weeks, but in the meantime here are a few quick photos of what I've been up to...

Bronze planters with succulents and cacti- custom order for tabletop decor at the Interior Design Best of Year awards ceremony.

I got a flat of golden barrel cacti- one of my favorite types of cacti, I am so excited to put these in my new larger planters!

More to come soon!

Planter Gift

I made this cement planter with mixed haworthia succulents as a present for my aunt's 70th birthday.

I wanted to use colors and patterns inspired my Bolivian Frasadas like this

Terrain at Styer's

Terrain at Styer's is about an hour away from my house, and I like to go out there every few months and wander around and not buy anything. There are a bunch of small buildings on the property and they do all sorts of cool design-y plant things, like this staghorn fern display. I love staghorn ferns- I am worried that one would not be happy living on my balcony though. This goes on the list of plants I will have when I own a house.

This building is covered with rows of Wooly Pockets- the blue and purple flowers look really pretty.

Rock garden with cold-hardy succulents. The cobweb sempervium are one of my favorite weird succulents. At my old job, I had one in my office, and someone threatened to cut the cobweb part off when she was mad at me.

I almost bought one of these carnivorous pitcher plants- they had a whole bunch of these hanging up and they were huge and amazing. When I have more space I am getting one. (Side note: apparently they can eat mice. Which is disgusting. I did not watch the Youtube video.)

I'm really excited about this new stuff on the store- I have some new terrariums up, as well as new planters, including some with plants that can be shipped. If you've been eyeing one of these but don't live locally, now's your chance!

DC

I was down in Washington DC on Friday for and American Mural Project  event (which involved about 100 kids and paint markers). I went to the delicious vegan Sticky Fingers bakery beforehand.

All these yucca were blooming outside, love a cold-hardy succulent!
